Oregon health officials have reported 723 new COVID-19 cases. The latest update from the Oregon Health Authority puts the cumulative case count above 51-thousand-100. OHA also confirmed four more patient deaths, bringing the pandemic’s death toll up to 734. Hospitalizations have risen to 296.

Lincoln County Public Schools is continuing to gradually welcome back students into the classroom. Today, second and third graders returned to school. Two weeks ago, their first grade peers came in, and kindergarteners came back two weeks before that. So far, the district has seen no COVID-19 cases tied to transmission within schools.

Fourteen people face charges after street racers took over several streets in Portland last night. Police say more than 400 cars gathered, taking over the top deck of the Fremont Bridge, the Interstate Bridget, Sunset Highway tunnel and several intersections. In all, 16 cars were towed away.
