A new bus pickup and drop-off route on La Grande School District property for Central Elementary School students was discussed at the La Grande School Board meeting last week. The plan calls for buses to pick up and drop off students at the north edge of the Central playground… near the staff parking lot. Last year, unloading and loading of students was done on Second Street between K and H avenues, however, that area is a public right-of-way, and that means school buses are not allowed to load and unload students there. The new school come to find out, had technically been in violation since it opened.
