A young truck driver from La Grande is missing. 22 year old Jacob Cartwright went missing on Tuesday, disappearing after he apparently turned off of his planned route. Cartwright drives for Little Trees Transportation. The Oregon State Police are assisting the Union County Search and Rescue team and Sheriff’s Office in trying to find Cartwright. The last contact with him was in the Pendleton area. GPS information put the truck in the area of Hwy 244 near MacIntyre Road about noon yesterday. This area is very remote, heavily wooded with rough terrain and very expansive. It has been searched by OSP aircraft and continues to be searched by ground rescue personnel.
